GFI 2021 held in Shenzhen
China Standardization 2021-11-12

The 2nd Shenzhen International Food Valley Innovation Forum and GFI 2021: the First Global Food Science and Technology Innovation Summit was held on October 20-22 in Shenzhen, Guangdong province.

A parallel session with the theme on promoting the research and application cooperation on agricultural food blockchain technology  was held in the same term. Researchers specialized in agricultural food standard and sensory analysis from China National Institute of Standardization (CNIS) attended the meeting and made keynote speeches.

The world’s first agricultural food national sovereign public block chain traceability system was released on the forum. Based on big-data technology, the traceability system sets up the underlying operating system of agricultural food industry, integrating “BT + IT”, also known as “Bio-technology + Internet technology”. It is expected that co-building, sharing and co-governance will be achieved by every entity on the agricultural food industrial chain, which will boost the high-quality development of global agricultural food industry.

CNIS signed a technical cooperation framework agreement with the Agricultural Genomics Institute at Shenzhen, a government-supported scientific research organization held by Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The two parties join hands in developing relevant blockchain standard system, and forge Shenzhen into a pioneer demonstration area for foodstuff.
